MY STAY AT THE JEFFERSON HOTEL IN RICHMOND, VA

So, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I have never visited Richmond, VA in the 2+ years I've been in D.C...until this past weekend.  The Jefferson Hotel invited me, Jenn, and Kristyn to stay with them over the weekend to experience the hotel after their three-year renovation.  Wow.  Just wow.  The hotel is beautiful..that super classy, old-school beautiful..where you feel like you've stepped back in time in the best way.  As soon as we stepped into the lobby, we knew it was going to be a great weekend.  From check-in, to valet, to the concierge; the service was impeccable.

Onto the room..WOW..all caps.  The room was amazing and we immediately thought we were in a suite, but no..it was their Grand Premier Guestroom which definitely could pass as a suite..it literally was bigger than my apartment.  We were greeted with a bottle of wine and cheese plate..the way to my heart.  The beds were so comfortable (the robes and slippers may have had something to do with that ;), the decor was luxurious and inviting, but I want to give a special shout-out to the bathroom..the bathroom of my dreams.  I could have lived in the shower; marble floor to ceiling.  The  toiletries were Molton Brown (some of the best out there) and there was a TV in the (double-sink) vanity's mirror..yep..you read that correctly.  Bravo while all three of us comfortably got ready for dinner?  You bet.

We also got to experience the bar one night for a quick nightcap.  It was cozy and chic..definitely an after-dinner must.  To end our weekend, we were invited to try their famous Sunday Brunch.  How many times can I say "wow" in one post?  A lot, apparently.  Wow.  I'll just link the menu right here for your viewing pleasure.  Let me clear something up, though..there were about two to three times the amount of desserts.  The service at brunch was on par with the rest of the weekend; I don't think anyone's drink ever got close to being empty.

Our weekend at The Jefferson Hotel was so nice that I can't imagine visiting Richmond again without staying there..or at the very least, stopping in for a drink.

Side note:  I'll be recapping the entire weekend in subsequent posts (where we ate, drank, shopped, etc.) and will be posting my outfits..shocking!  I'm back..

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay, The Jefferson Hotel..I hope to see you again soon :)
