THE PANTS I WORE TO THE OPENING OF LADURÉE

Happy Hump Day! If you follow me on Snapchat (@lehmala) and/or Instagram Stories (@laura.lehman) you saw that I '"graduated" this past weekend. I was able to walk in the ceremony because I only have 9 credit hours left that I will finish up this semester. I started my summer classes literally the day after I walked which was definitely a little weird, but I am so so ready to get this semester moving..so it can all be over and I can get back to blogging on a regular basis. These once-a-weekers (if that) are killing me.

Onto the outfit: to be completely honest, I've only worn these pants once. I was invited to the opening of Ladurée in Georgetown (how that happened, I will never know) and it was the perfect event to wear something like this to. I wore a different top/shoes, but honestly, these pants can be mixed and matched with a ton of things, so I plan to wear them again to another event in about a month. Now, I know a long-long time ago (3 years, but who's counting?) I said I would never wear culottes. These are the exception and probably the only exception..and that's because of the tie-waist. I am a sucker for the tie-waist. I also suggest that whenever buying culottes of any kind, go one size smaller than you'd typically wear. While the waist may be a bit snug, it makes a huge difference in the leg.
