MY FIRST FACIAL WITH CPS

Y'all..I know.  I had never gotten a facial before.  I've been told countless times that they're really important for your skin, you should get one once a month, etc.  Nope. I never listened.  But when The Center for Plastic Surgery asked me to come in to try out their signature Fire & Ice facial, I didn't hesitate.

CPS has two locations and lucky for me, one of them is about a 5 minute walk from my office.  As soon as I arrived, I felt at peace.  Even though it's technically a medical center, the lobby felt very serene and was filled with beautiful white orchids.  Since it was my first experience getting a facial, I didn't really know what to expect, but when my aesthetician, Marily, brought me back to the room, the facial began almost immediately.  I suppose I was thinking I'd be in a robe with a glass of champagne, but this place was all business.  Marily explained to me that CPS was focused on the skincare and not so much the pampering.  She then began to explain what the Fire & Ice facial entailed.  The formulas used create a hot/burning sensation followed by a super chilling sensation and it's all to promote cell turnover to brighten and tighten the skin.

Even without the pampering, the facial was very relaxing and included a mini head massage at the end..and I really almost fell asleep.

Within seconds after the facial was over I could feel the effect it had on my skin.  My face was glowing; it was unreal.  I literally (actually literally - no mascara, no concealer under the eyes, nothing) went makeup free to Whole Foods afterwards and didn't feel self-conscious.

Even without the robes and bubbles, it was a really great experience and I felt like it positively changed my skin.  Thanks, CPS!
