I am almost annoyed just typing it. I was sent this funny/kinda sad video the other day by a colleague and I could not have related to it more. I catch myself saying "I'm sorry" about a million times a day for things I am not sorry about at all. Just because someone runs into me and steps on my own foot, doesn't mean I have to be the one apologizing for it (strange concept, huh?). I have definitely been told a time or two that I say "I'm sorry" too often; and my response: you guessed it. Politeness, femininity, lack of confidence..not sure what the cause (probably a mix of it all), but I am going to start being more conscious of when I say "I'm sorry" and making sure that I really mean it. Disclaimer: “Sorry, I’m not sorry” jokes don’t count.
